Grand Rapids music venue The Intersection teamed up with Double D Productions and MostPitNation in January 2012 to overhaul their annual Heavyweights metal battle-of-the-bands. The power-trio of organizations share a vision in which the event fosters growth in the West Michigan metal community, and have added a panel of judges and a shred competition to amp up the excitement.
